Well-being and Mental health
Cambridge Dictionary defines well-being as the state of feeling happy and healthy. It is a sustainable condition that allows an individual or a team to develop its full potential and thrive.
The WHO defines positive mental health as “a state of well-being in which the individual realizes his or her own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to his or her team”.
Six pillars of well-being
An overall sense of one’s well-being cannot be achieved without these six key elements: sleep, movement, nutrition, mental health, stress management and relationships.
Well-being of a population follows a normal bell curve distribution: 15-20% of the population is thriving, 60-70% is struggling, and 15-20% is suffering. Our mission is to make a positive shift in well-being state of your company's workforce. Source: The science of well-being. Oxford: Oxford University Press.; Gallup well-being zones.
